Cottage Before, During & After, Part 2

Yesterday I showed you before pictures of the condo that we bought 5 years ago.  Here are some in-progress pictures.

Yucky vinyl floor removed.  Cabinets painted to match new dresser.  Appliances replaced.  Wiring for new pendant lights.  Countertops, sink & faucet coming soon!

Carpet removed.  Thousands of dead carpet beetles disposed of.  Wall heaters replaced with underfloor heating.  Prefinished hardwood floors laid.

Dodgy ski chalet fireplace surround removed.  Drywall waiting for new faux stone.  New canned lighting.

We're making progress!

Just a little more to go!

At this point we realized that dark floors show all the dirt!

Underfloor heating in bathroom, lovely and toasty on the feet.

What, that's not a real stone fireplace?  Damian vows he'll never do this again.  He'd almost finished when one stone fell and brought the whole lot down with it.  Glad I was in Salt Lake when that happened.

I forgot to show you the one and only light fixture in the kitchen/living area.  I think they crafted it from left over lumber from the deck railing.

Here were our little helpers.  Aren't they cute?

It wasn't all work and no play.  The workers took a few hours off to welcome Thomas the Tank Engine to Heber Valley.

Bet you can't wait to see the big reveal!  Stay tuned.
